First, it is easy to verify whether the vehicle’s electronic VIN matches the physical VIN shown in the documents. This check can help avoid unpleasant surprises in situations such as flexible leasing arrangements.
A potential buyer can also check when a fault code was last cleared or how far the vehicle has been driven with an active fault code. For example, if the Mobilscan App indicates 10,000 km, it may be a sign that the car has not been serviced regularly.
A more advanced feature is reading the vehicle’s long-term fuel trim data. This parameter should generally not vary by more than a few percent.
